Rhodes! Finally!

Posted by Mike on January 22, 2008

Anyone who really knows their music might recognize a common theme between the four songs in my “Now Listening To” for today’s posts: they all feature the Rhodes. I’m in a Rhodes mood because I finally got my copy of NI Elektrik Pianos last night (I ordered it nearly two months ago). I’ve got a couple remix ideas that were depending on a good Rhodes sound that I can now get to work on. Not to mention it’s really fun to play a Rhodes with vibrato turned on with a wah pedal and phaser and distortion. NI Elektrik Pianos also has a good Clavinet and Wurlitzer instrument, but it’s undoubtedly the Rhodes I’ll be spending more time with.
