Seems that despite the dot-com bust in the late 90’s, people still haven’t realized that just because content can be put on the Internet, that doesn’t mean it should be put on the Internet. Enjoy!

Windows “Mojave” – Poor Research

Windows Vista has a bad reputation. I ran Vista for less than three weeks when it shipped on my new laptop before upgrading to XP. My wife will be doing the same this weekend. Many who have tried Vista don’t like it for various issues, and rightly so. I gave it a fair try, and it failed to meet my needs. Of course, many people like Vista too, but because of changes in so many key areas that a lot of potential knowledgeable users viewed as negative, there’s no denying that Vista has a bad reputation.
Enter the Mojave Experiment.

New job

Since everyone in my office has now been informed, I can say publicly that I’m switching jobs. As of September 2nd, I’ll be working for a new company which will be much closer to home. I’ll miss my team at my current job, but shorter commutes will be a good thing too.

Computer Game Piracy

Via Slashdot, I came across this blog post by Cliff Harris, an indie game developer. He’s asking those who pirate his games to explain why they do so, promising anonymity to those who respond. His goal is to figure out how to better market his products to reduce piracy and increase sales. Also interesting is his followup, listing the lessons learned.
